This Privacy Policy describes what data ShowUp (the "Service"), operated by Hope Media House, processes when you use it. We aim to collect as little as possible.
1. What you submit
When you analyze a URL, you submit that URL to the Service. In site mode, you also implicitly submit additional URLs on the same origin that the Service discovers through the site's sitemap or by crawling links. URLs are used solely to fetch the publicly available content at those locations.
2. What we fetch on your behalf
To produce a report, the Service downloads the following files from the host you submit:
- The HTML of each analyzed page
/robots.txt/llms.txt(if present)/sitemap.xml(if present)
Fetched content is processed in memory on the Service's server. We do not persist or republish it.
3. What we send to third parties
The Service depends on the following third-party providers. By using the Service you accept that data may be processed by them under their own policies.
- Anthropic (Claude API). When the qualitative analysis runs, the main extracted text content of the analyzed page (capped at approximately 5,000 characters) is sent to Anthropic's API for scoring along with the URL. See anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
- Vercel (hosting). The Service is hosted on Vercel. All requests pass through Vercel's infrastructure, which logs IP addresses and request metadata under its policy. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
4. What we store
The Service does not maintain a database of user submissions. To avoid duplicate paid API calls, ShowUp keeps an in-memory cache of qualitative analysis results for up to 30 minutes per running server instance, keyed by URL plus a hash of the page content. This cache is not persistent and is cleared whenever the server restarts.
5. Cookies and tracking
ShowUp does not set tracking cookies. It does not embed third-party analytics scripts or advertising pixels.
6. Server logs
Standard request logs (timestamp, route, response status, request duration) are retained by Vercel for operational and security purposes per their published retention policy. We do not use these logs for marketing.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly process data from children.
8. Your choices
Because the Service does not require an account and does not retain submissions beyond the in-memory cache described in Section 4, there is no profile to access, export, or delete. To stop having data processed by the Service, simply stop using it.
9. Security
The Service applies basic safeguards including HTTPS in transit, input normalization, private-IP and protocol restrictions on outbound fetches, response-size limits, and server-side handling of any API credentials. No system is perfectly secure; you assume the residual risk of using the Service.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Effective" date above will reflect the latest revision. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
11. Contact
Privacy questions can be directed to Hope Media House via the contact information published on the Hope Media House website.
